About the Telugu Language

I am writing in this article about Telugu Language. Telugu is a Dravidian language. And it is official language in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. And it is a mother tongue of both states.

According 2011 survey, largest number people speaking third language is Telugu (75 million) in India. First and second place languages are Hindi and Bengali. And worldwide, Telugu is in 15th place. And one more thing is where ever you go in worldwide there will be Telugu speaking people.

Now I’m starting writing about Telugu Language and its history. Telugu belongs to Dravidian family. There are many languages belonging to the Dravidian family. They are Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada etc. The Government of India has given the “ancient language” status to Telugu, Sanskrit, Tamil and Kannada in 2008.

There are many arguments on “How was the Telugu word formed?”. I too don’t know full details of “How was the Telugu word formed?”. Based on the my knowledge, I am writing in this article. This Telugu word was formed based on three most popular temples of the lord Shiva. In that three temples one temple is in the Kaleshwaram in Karimnagar district, one temple is in Srisailam in Kurnool district and the last temple in Bhimavaram in West Godavari District. The place in the between of these three temples is called as the “Thrilinga”. There is an argument that the Telinga, Telungu and Telugu words come from the Trilinga word.
According to my knowledge I said that about the “How was formed the Telugu word”. I’m requesting you, if you know about the forming of the Telugu word, please tell about that as a comment in the below comment box.
